Info on Magnesium
Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body and is essential to good health. Approximately 50% of total body magnesium is found in bone. The other half is found predominantly inside cells of body tissues and organs. Only 1% of magnesium is found in blood, but the body works very hard to keep blood levels of magnesium constant [1]. Magnesium is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, supports a healthy immune system, and keeps bones strong. Magnesium also helps regulate blood sugar levels, promotes normal blood pressure, and is known to be involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis [2-3]. There is an increased interest in the role of magnesium in preventing and managing disorders such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. Dietary magnesium is absorbed in the small intestines. Magnesium is excreted through the kidneys [1-3,4]. http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/magnesium/Having too much of this mineral in your diet could result to an upset stomach. You could experience episodes of diarrhea accompanied by stomach pains. Take note that the recommended intake for adult males is 420 mg per day. The recommended consumption for women and smaller children is lower. If you go beyond the upper limit, then you are probably taking too much magnesium. Excessive consumption which is five times the recommended upper limit could cause uncomfortable diarrhea, loose stools, and debilitating stomach aches. Some people may experience other side effects when they include too much magnesium in their diets.
Symptoms may include dizziness, nausea, and general fatigue or muscle weakness. It could also increase the toxicity levels of your body and might impede the proper functioning of some of your vital organs. Serious side effects may include tightness in the chest, breathing difficulties, and dryness and swelling of the mouth. Rashes on the skin could appear if the mineral becomes too toxic. If you experience some of these symptoms, then you need to quickly consult a doctor. You have to know immediately if you are consuming too much magnesium in order to avoid the side effects. http://www.infobarrel.com/Common_Side_Effects_of_Magnesium_Overdose

MUST READ ASAP!
http://www.preventcancer.com/documents/ACS.pdf is the cover of the 130-page document link which explains in detail why the American Cancer Society may be far more interested in accumulating cash than curing any disease. The ACS has close ties to the mammography industry, the cancer drug industry, and the pesticide industry.
It is riddled with conflict of interest.
And in fact, according to the report, the ACS has a reckless, if not criminal record on cancer prevention. Over and over again, they have promoted drugs and screening while ignoring environmental causes.
The report states, in part:
"The ACS ... [has] long continued to devote virtually exclusive priority to research on diagnosis and treatment of cancer, with indifference to prevention, other than faulty personal lifestyle, commonly known as 'blame the victim,' ... Not surprisingly, the incidence of cancer over past decades has escalated".

Better than Honey!

I came across this product which interested me as it has a lower glycemic index than honey… it is 7g sugar per tbsp vs. the 16g sugar per tbsp with honey:

This is the same company who carries the Coconut Aminos that we use instead of soy sauce.
