We have had our set for 8yrs and it still looks brand new. They will assist in cooking at the correct temperature to maintain the nutrient in the foods without overcooking. We can typically cook a meal for all 4 of us in about 15min and that includes prep time. Super fast and efficient without using higher heat than 180* which is the optimal cooking temp.
